Ashley Nichole Neifert, 30, born April 13, 1991, passed away peacefully, in her home, Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Born in Palmerton and formerly of Fredericktown, she was a daughter of Matthew T. Neifert and Danyelle Warrick Neifert-Shunk.

She currently resided in Philadelphia with her beloved significant other and forever soulmate, Stacy L. Chilcote. She also resided with her pride and joy, cats Snowball and Mowgli.

Ashley was a graduate of Beth-Center High School and the Penn Commercial LPN program. Her passion in life, which she pursued, was to become a nurse. She was known for her witty humor, smile and being persistently stubborn. She was nonjudgmental in character and was always willing to help someone in need regardless of the circumstances. She had a kindhearted soul when it came to love and strived to be the best version of herself for her family. Ashley enjoyed sports, especially volleyball and softball, which she played throughout her adolescence. She had many hobbies, including cooking, music, traveling, reading, meditation, and especially just sitting back and watching movies with her partner.

She is survived by her father and stepmom, Jessica Kummerer of Barto; mother and husband, Phillip J. Shunk of Bath; maternal grandmother, Susan, better known as “Grandma Susie” of Bath; paternal grandmother, Louise M. of Cherryville; uncle, Gary “Allan” Neifert of Bath. Other family members include Ondie Neifert, Jody Neifert, Kim Neifert, Corey Neifert, Joyce Minich and Jeff Gerhard.

Preceding her in death were here sister, Jessica E.; paternal grandfather, Gary A.; and cousin, Nicholas A.

Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m., the hour of service, Saturday, November 20, presided by the Reverend Jody Neifert, in Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown.
