Marcia Jean Bierer Hopper
Marcia Jean Bierer Hopper, 72, of McMurray, and Hilton Head, S.C., passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Sunday, November 14, 2021.
Marcia was the beloved wife of the late James Francis Hopper; daughter of the late Jim and Genevieve Long Bierer; loving mother of David (Rachel) Hopper and Alyssa (Cody) Gregg; devoted grandma of Willow Rose Hopper; niece of Virginia (the late Kenneth) LeRoy, and the late Evelyn (the late Harry) Daube; cousin of Deb (Greg) Bonuito, Keith LeRoy, Hank (Jane) Daube, Patricia Strohm, and the late Janet Daube; sister-in-law of Joseph Hopper Sr., Mary Joan Hopper, John (Cheryl) Hopper, Annie (the late Bernie) Harkins, Martha (John) Brosky and Cathy (Jay) Black; dear aunt of her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and best friend of Kathy Johnson. Marcia is also survived by her beloved cat, Sadie Mae.
Marcia loved to travel, and especially living by the beach. She was active in Zonta Club, an international women’s organization, and served Ruthfred Lutheran Church as treasurer. Marcia also enjoyed a 40-year career at PNC Bank. Her biggest honor in life was serving her children, and then her greatest joy came when her pride and joy, Willow Rose, was born and made her a grandma.
