Sandra Joyce Philp
Sandra Joyce Philp, 81, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, November 14, 2021.
She was born June 8, 1940, a daughter of Gould E. and Mildred Hess Morton.
She grew up in Bentleyville, and prior to her retirement, worked as an LPN at Mayview and Woodville State Hospitals.
Sandy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 205, and enjoyed gardening, sewing and knitting. She was active with the Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department band for many years.
Surviving are her companion of many years, Donald Justison, with whom she made her home; sons, Charles (Janet) Philp of Eighty Four, Wesley (Sue) Philp of New Martinsville, W.Va.; brother-in-law, John Gladish of Ravenna, Ohio; three grandchildren, Meghan Philp, Sandra Kate Philp and Sean Philp; two nieces, Kathy (Mark) Simone and Ann Jensen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Becky Gladish.
Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, November 18, in the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
