Walter H. “Butch” Toward, 58, of Burgettstown, Hanover Township, passed away peacefully, in his home, Monday, August 30, 2021, with his loving wife by his side.

Butch graduated from West Allegheny High School, Class of 1981. He worked as a truck driver for the last 26 years.

Butch enjoyed riding his Harley, listening to country music, having backyard bonfires with friends and family, and working on vehicles. Butch was a generous and kind man. He knew how to fix just about everything on any trucks and cars, and loved helping others.

Butch was lucky enough to find his true love years ago. On July 13, 1990, he married his loving wife of 31 years, Kathlene Valent Toward, who survivies. He and his wife spent his life traveling, laughing and loving each other as much as they could.

Surviving are his mother, Theresa (Russell) Yuricic of Oakdale; sister, Theresa Williams of Ohio; brother, Robert (Michelle) Yuricic of West Virginia; stepsisters, Lee (Kevin) McCann of Missouri, Lynn (Alan) Frazier of Virginia; stepbrother, Mark Yuricic of Ohio; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Butch was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Yuricic.

At Butch’s request, there will be no services at this time, but a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
