Francis P. Zoldak

Francis P. Zoldak “Frank”, 67, of Cross Junction, Va., passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center after a six-month battle with liver disease.

Frank was a dedicated public servant beginning with Active duty in the Army. This desire to serve continued with Frank as a Correctional Officer at Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.

He became a Deputy Sheriff with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia. Frank retired from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office in 2011. Frank was an avid fisherman and loved by so many.

Surviving Frank are the love of his life Tinathan Lewis “Tiny” of 20 years; his sister Rita and husband Mike Pekar of Amherst, Virginia; Frank’s two sons Bradley Zoldak of Greensboro, and Alan and wife Whitney Zoldak of Greensboro; also, two grandchildren Sebastian and Julianna Zoldak of Greensboro; best friend, fishing partner and coworker Chris and wife Michelle Cunningham of Cross Junction Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions may be made to the Gainesboro Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, 221 Gainesboro Road, Winchester, VA 22603

Family and Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, November 22, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 23. The service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, 724-966-5100, Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor.

Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
