Bonnie Lynn Riffle
Bonnie Lynn Riffle, 70, of Aleppo Township, died at 8:42 a.m. Sunday, November 21, 2021, in the Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va., after being seriously ill for the past month.
She was born February 8, 1951, in Cameron, W.Va., a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Juanita June Whipkey Strope, and had resided in Aleppo Township since 1972.
Mrs. Riffle was a member of the Aleppo Brethren Church, where she had served as the financial secretary for the past several years and was an assistant with vacation Bible school.
She was a 1969 graduate of Cameron (W.Va.) High School.
Mrs. Riffle was employed as a bank teller with BB&T Bank in Cameron for approximately nine years prior to retiring in 2006.
On May 27, 1972, she married Donald Randolph Riffle, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa “Missy” (Scott) Woods of Sheppard, Mich.; three sons, Craig (Kim) Riffle of Moundsville, W.Va., Doug Riffle of Elm Grove, W.Va., and Curtis (Aly) Riffle of Hudson, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Erica Six, Dakota, Braden, Grace H. and Perry Riffle, Mason S. and Maddox C. Woods; six great-grandchildren, Cooper Beers, Alayna, Watson K., Maverick K., Rawlings D. and Morgan W. Riffle.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a grandson, Harper Jackson Riffle; two brothers, Richard S. and Steven L. Strope.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 26, in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC, Rogersville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, with Pastor Lanny Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow in Centennial Cemetery, Aleppo Township, Greene County.
