Kim Smith
Kim Smith, 54, of Avella, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, with her husband by her side, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.
She was born on September 26, 1967, in St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh, daughter of Ruth Ann Rigert Porter of Burgettstown, and the late Clair David Porter.
Kim was a 1985 graduate of Laurel Hills Wesleyan Academy and she attended Penn Commercial.
She worked as a Herdsman at Scott’s Dairy Farm in Oakdale and ARC Human Services as an Aide in group homes, she was also a Groomsman at the Meadows Race Track in Washington.
Kim was an animal lover; particularly dairy cows and horses. She loved to spend time with her children, especially taking her daughter to riding lessons.
On December 24, 1991 she married Robert W. Smith, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and husband of 29 years, are her children, Dan and Chyann, both at home; her sister, Carol (Dale) Johnson of Burgettstown; her in-laws, Rex and Carol Smith of Avella; and her nieces and nephews, Kasey, Camryn, Sawyer (Celina) and Cole.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Smith family at 638 Avella Road, Avella, PA 15312.
