Martin Lee “Marty” Mowl, 67, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, in his home. He was born on April 23, 1954, in Washington, a son of Donald S. Mowl and Mary Mowl.

He was a proud member of the VFW and Arden Club, where he was a lifelong member and participant on their dartball team. Marty graduated from Trinity High School in 1974, and then went on to earn his Associates degree in Business Management from Robert Morris University.

He enjoyed being an umpire for local youth baseball leagues. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Marty made friends everywhere he went and if you needed anything he was willing to help.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Mowl; sister, Nancy Britt (Dennis); niece, Valerie Schrader; nephews, Christopher Britt, Kenith (Jessica) Britt, Bill Britt, Vaughn Simonelli; and great-nieces, Julianna, Isabella, Felicity, Laura, and Caroline; great-nephews, Benjamin and Zachary Schrader; a special aunt Betty; as well as several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Mowl.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday November 26.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be sent to Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington.
