Robert Michael Lankard
Robert Michael Lankard, 64 of Waynesburg, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021. Born February 21, 1957, in Indiana, Robert was the son of the late Robert L. Lankard and Verna Davison Lankard, and stepmother Beverly Lankard.
He married Carolynn McNeely on August 5, 2013.
Mike graduated from East Forest High School in 1976. He attended Pennsylvania College of Technology at Williamsport, where he received his degree as a Diesel Mechanic.
Mike is a third generation pipeliner. Mike worked for several companies such as Joyce Western Construction Company, Utility Constructors, and Skibeck Pipeline, and his most recent position with Meridan Energy and Lineal Industries, Inc., where he was an assistant superintendent.
For a three-year period, Mike owned and operated Lankard Trucking Company. Mike retired early to care for the love of his life, Carolynn, when she became ill.
Mike enjoyed gardening, canning, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mike, like his father, was a great storyteller and jokester, was full of life, and was always there with a kind word and big heart.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carolynn Lankard; children, Necessa Williams and husband Dan of Saegertown, and Shalone Lankard of Linesville, and stepchildren, Cassy and Matt McNeely.
Grandchildren Sharla, Aubreeanna, Annabelle, and Audrina; sister, Sandra Crossley of South Carolina, Karen DeCarlo and husband Dwight, of South Carolina; Diana Shimko and husband Buster, of Markleysburg; Robin Sharrow and husband Dan of Marienville; and Penny Kahle and husband Tom, of Marienville; Debi Dyne of Lewis Run; Shawn Dyne and wife Loretta, of Austinburg Ohio; and Lynda McComb of Lewis Run.
Mike was also loved deeply by many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins!
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday October 13, 2021, in the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels. Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor, 724-966-5100.
A memorial service will also be held at the Funeral Home at 4 p.m.
