Vilma Morris
Vilma “Tess” Morris of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away August 31, 2021 at the age of 95.
Tess was born May 13, 1926 in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania to Guido and Bruna Tesi.
Tess graduated from Washington Hospital of Nursing in 1948 where she subsequently worked as a nurse until she retired in 1984.
Tess was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Scrappy” Morris whom she married March 20, 1948; and her brother, Raymond J. Tesi of Palm Harbor, Florida.
She is survived by her son, Paul Morris Jr. of Boynton Beach, Florida; her daughter, Cheryl Thompson & husband, Steve Samson, of West Palm Beach; her sister-in-law, Margaret Shveda of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tess was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, Florida.
She loved to travel, especially to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area to cheer on her beloved Pirates & Steelers. Go Pitt!
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held in Washington, Pennsylvania at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Washington Catholic Cemetery Chapel for family and friends.
