Clifford L. Wier
Clifford L. Wier, 81, of Avella, died October 27, 2021, in the VA Hospital, Oakland.
He was born March 7, 1940, in Claysville, the son of the late William Clifford and Beulah Plants Wier.
Clifford attended schools in Claysville and retired from Stone Container in Wellsburg.
He was a member of Avella Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Clifford loved outdoor activities.
On September 5, 1966, Clifford married Luella M. Plants, who died on February 3, 2021.
Surviving is a son, Kenneth M. Wier (Christina Casto) of Avella; brother, Clarence J. Wier (Gladys), of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Brandon C. Wier (Shelby Brown), of Cross Creek, David J. Powers, of Avella, and Amber Scott (Cody Hukill) of Avella; great-grandchildren, Carter Thomas Wier, Charlee Hukill; brother-in-law, Johnny Stewart, of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Clifford in death was his daughter, Wendy L. Wier (1997); brother, James R. Wier; and sister Virginia Stewart.
There will be no services.
