Mary Lee Ellenberger passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Born in Washington, a daughter of James and Anna Ohs, Lee enjoyed the love of her sister, Shirley Ann, her paternal grandparents living with the family, and her aunt and uncle living next door.

Lee graduated from Trinity High School and earned a BA in Education at Bethany College, West Virginia – the first college graduate in her extended family.

She met the love of her life, Robert Wray Ellenberger, as a high school junior. They married five years later and were blessed with two daughters and seven grandchildren.

As she followed Bob’s military and business careers, she enjoyed the friends met while living in Germany, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio and Maryland. While focused primarily on being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Lee (who was known as Super Shopper) enjoyed gardening and Garden Club, Bible study, church activities, Red Hatters Club, crossword puzzles and Jeopardy.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents and sister.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughters, Alison Rae “Allie” (Cliff) and Meredith Rae “Duff” (Mike); grandchildren, Clifford Wray, Autumn Rae, Destiny Rae, TJ Wray, Nyla Rae, Christopher Wray and Natalie Rae.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m., the time of a service in celebration of Lee’s life, Wednesday, November 3, in Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, N.J. Burial will follow at Head of Christiana Presbyterian Cemetery.
