Walter Isaac Casson Jr.
Walter Isaac Casson Jr., 67, of Houston, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Premier Washington Health Center. He was born February 10, 1954, in Pittsburgh, the only son of the late Walter and Ella Skinner Casson.
Walter grew up in Presto, but lived most of his life in Houston. He was a 1972 graduate of Chartiers Valley High School.
He began his career in childcare, then went on to become a psychiatric aid at Mayview State Hospital, where he worked for 33 years. Walter was a member of the Washington Car Cruisers and collected diecast cars. He also enjoyed attending drag races.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his life partner of 35 years, Brenda Cuthbert of Houston; sisters June Taylor of Harrisburg, Brenda (Calvin) Sanford of Presto and Jennifer Williams of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is his sister, Plaid Lynn Stamp.
Funeral services will be held privately for the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
Memorial contributions, in memory of Walter, may be made to the Presto Volunteer Fire Department or to the Houston Volunteer Fire Department.
