Antoinette D. “Toni” Benedetti, 93, of Getzville, N.Y., formerly of Monongahela, died Friday, September 3, 2021, in Rosa Coplon Living Center, N.Y.
Born October 14, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was a daughter of Saverio and Raffaella Amoia Marzello.
Toni had worked for over 20 years at Dierkan’s Pharmacy in Monongahela until her retirement. An avid reader, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church in Monongahela, and its Altar Rosary Christian Mother Society.
She is survived by son and daughters-in-law Joseph and Frances Benedetti, residing in Seattle, Wash., and Paulette Benedetti of Buffalo, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Gerri A., Alyson J. and Amy E. Benedetti.
She was preceded in death by husband Oswaldo in 1992; and son Louis in 2000. She was the last surviving Marzello sibling, preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Vincent Marzello; and four sisters, Angela Ceppaglia, Ann Giangreco, Josephine Edwards and Rose Marzello.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 10, in the Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 11, with Deacon Alex Poroda officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery Chapel.
