Frances Louise Mehal Barnhart
Frances Louise Mehal Barnhart, 79, of Carmichaels, died September 10, 2021, in her home.
Frances was born December 22, 1941, in Adah, Fayette County, the daughter of the late Francis Martin and Mary Elizabeth Meyers Mehal.
On July 23, 1962, Fran married Daniel Craig Barnhart Jr.. Daniel died January 13, 1992.
Fran is survived by 3 children; Theresa L. Barnhart, of Pittsburgh, Jacqueline R. McCarthy, of Greensburg, Kirsten M. Wolfe, of Wellsburg, W.Va., (fiance John C. Brady); 5 grandchildren, Alyssa M. Barnhart (fiance Justin Shuff), Neil P. McCarthy, Daniel C. Barnhart IV, Laura A. McCarthy, and Addilynn G. Barnhart; 2 great grandchildren, Justin Shuff and Jace Shuff; 2 sisters, Mary E. Stuchal and Rose C. Stone (John); a brother-in-law, Bobbie J. Asbury; a daughter-in-law Carol Barnhart; many nieces and nephews; an aunt Rose Liptok (Charles); and good friend Patricia Farley.
Deceased in addition to her parents are her son Daniel C. Barnhart III; Siblings, Gladys E. Asbury, Frank M. Mehal Jr., and Martha who died in infancy; a dear friend, Charles (Bill) Chapman.
Fran’s career went from beautician, bank teller, CNA at Greene County Memorial Hospital, and in home health care nurse.
Fran enjoyed spending time and playing with her youngest granddaughter, Addie, who kept her entertained and always busy. She also enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, and doing Cryptogram puzzles.
Fran had 2 beloved cats, Cricket and Milo. Cricket was given to her by her late son Dan, in 2008. They were best buds and Milo was always Frans little baby and guard cat.
Services are private. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Lectrone, on September 15, 2021.
