Hazel Irene Cole
Hazel Irene Cole, 95, of Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born January 2, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of the late Albert and Anna Clutter Paul.
Mrs. Cole was Christian by faith. She was first employed at Woodville State Hospital as a psychiatric aide before going to work for Woolworths at South Hills Village. Mrs. Cole later became employed as a hearing aid technician for Radioear, from where she retired.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
On September 17, 1943, she married Jack R. Cole Sr., who died June 22, 1992.
Surviving are a son, Jack R. (Sherri) Cole Jr. of Washington; and a daughter, Mila (Harry) Lemley of Washington. Mrs. Cole was the last of her immediate family. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Jack R. (Melissa) Cole III, Renne (Tom) Dowler, Kelley Milligan, Denise (Floyd) Moore and Wendy (J.T.) Himmelrick; and five great-grandchildren, C.J. and Emily Cole, Hunter (Marissa) Moore, Seth Moore and Will Himmelrick. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah (the late Kenneth) Milligan); two brothers; one sister; and a great-granddaughter, Faith Dowler.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 16, in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor / director, Holly Renay Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Park N. Crosier, director. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 17, in the funeral home, with Pastor Rob Berk officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
