Patricia Ann Kennedy Amos
Patricia Ann Kennedy Amos, 82, of Gloucester Point, Va., passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Born July 2, 1939, she was a daughter of the late David and Opal Kennedy, the greatest grandparents ever.
Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Patty and Chuck relocated to Gloucester Point in 1986, where she worked for K-Mart Corporation and Roses. She then worked as a caregiver in home health care.
Patty’s love for crocheting presented many beautiful gifts to her family and friends to include afghans, doilies, scarves, tablecloths, Christmas stockings and many other creations.
She was a long-time member of The Church of St. Therese, where she served as a Eucharistic minister for some time. Patty also loved sharing her time and talents with her Theresian friends volunteering to help others.
Patty is survived by her husband, Chuck, to whom she was married for 65 years. She is also survived by her five children, Judy (Tom, deceased) Roman, Rebecca (Fortunato) D’Urzo, Charles (Carol, deceased) Amos, Janet (Timothy) Pribanic and Julie Amos. Patty “Peaka”, “Grandma”, “Granny” is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, TJ (Gina) Roman, Darcy (Daniel) Carpenter, Sarah D’Urzo, Toni Ann (Nick) Tasz, Christopher (Brittany) Amos, Chuck “Luck” (Kristy) Amos, Chad Amos, Joshua (Christine) Pribanic, Jacob Pribanic and Vincent (April) Farulli; and six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Tucker, Savannah, Levi, Chloe, Nicholas, and soon to be baby Pribanic; her sister, Nancy Kennedy Griffith of Burgettstown; nieces, Sandy and Linda; and nephew, Michael.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:15 p.m. Friday, September 17, in Hogg Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 in the funeral home chapel, officiated by father Gregory.
