June L. Dalverny Schollaert, 82, of Bulger, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, in Canonsburg Hospital.
June was born June 8, 1939, in Bulger, a daughter of the late Frank and Pauline Lescovitz Dalverny.
Mrs. Schollaert loved her hometown of Bulger. She worked near it, went to church there and raised her beautiful family in Bulger.
June was a retired custodian for Fort Cherry School District and a devout member of St. Ann’s Church in Bulger. June loved to work and she always had a new job that needed to be done. Not only did she work as a custodian, but she also worked with Kehm Oil Co. and Hyman’s Men’s Clothing Store.
As dedicated as June was to her work, caring for others is what she did best. June and her husband of 61 years raised their son in a home full of love and laughter. Not only was caring for her family a priority of June’s, but helping anyone that ever crossed her path was a mission of hers. June was an outstanding person and she will truly be missed by all.
Surviving are her loving husband, Walter Schollaert Jr.; son, Wally Schollaert; sister, Shirley (Fritz) Shoemaker; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, in Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 106 St. John Street, Midway (724-796-3301). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 23, in St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, St. Ann Church, Bulger. Interment will follow the Mass at Center Cemetery, Midway.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
