Gladys “Kitty” Sadvary, 89, of Fallowfield Township, passed away Monday, April, 4, 2022, in the Mon Valley Care Center.

She was born August 1, 1932, in German Township, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Harold and Bernice Baker Welch.

Mrs. Sadvary had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1965, and a member of the United Methodist Women Center in The Woods. Gladys was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 705 since 1983. She also belonged to the Centerville Red Hats Society.

Mrs. Sadvary enjoyed many things such as traveling, polkas, shopping, watching hummingbirds, and cardinals. Most of all she enjoyed making people smile.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Deborah Pulaski of Belle Vernon and Karen Stith (Bill) of Licking, Mo.; a son, Daniel Schrader of Charleroi; two brothers, Thomas Welch of Eighty Four and Robert Welch of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her husband, George Sadvary, who died January 2, 2013; a daughter, JoAnna Green; three sisters, Dorothy Sarnowski, Joyce Haynes and Carol Kenny.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April, 7, in Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, with Pastor Ken Custer officiating. Interment will be held in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
