Ida Laurie DiCio
Ida Laurie DiCio, 61, of Canonsburg, died Monday, April 4, 2022.
She was born June 25, 1960, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Joseph N. and Goldie I. Vincenti DiCio.
She was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish, and attended St. Patrick Worship Site.
Laurie worked as a licensed practical nurse at Mayview State Hospital, and later at SCI Waynesburg, and then SCI Fayetteville.
She found immense joy in cooking and baking, and especially sharing her homemade treats with family, friends and neighbors.
Surviving are her brothers, Thomas (Nancy) DiCio, of Washington, Mario Michael (Barbara) DiCio, of Lewisville, North Carolina; her sisters, Rebecca Lynn (David) Lee, of Evergreen, Colorado, and Gemma Marie (Joseph) Smith, of Canonsburg; her nieces and nephews, Vincent DiCio, Lacey Lee, Jessie Lee, Brett DiCio, Douglas DiCio, Michele DiCio, and Deanna DiCio; her great-nieces and nephews, Emma, Dani, Reagan, and Eleanor.
In addition to her parents, Laurie was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph N. DiCio, Jr.; and her nephew, T. J. DiCio, Jr.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be private.
A celebration of Laurie’s life will be held at a future date.
