Carmella A. Jeffers

Carmella A. Jeffers, 88, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2022.

She was born April 15, 1934, in Washington, the daughter of the late John and Frances Brach Charmely.

Mrs. Jeffers was a graduate of Trinity High School. She was employed as a switchboard operator at Bell Telephone, and later at the Washington County Courthouse, from where she retired. Mrs. Jeffers was a member of the Washington County Democratic Women. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with family. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda (William) Snyder, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Frances Jeffers, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Doris Wylie of Washington; two grandchildren, William (Allyson) Snyder, and James (Brooke) Snyder; and a nephew, John Pennel.

In addition to her father and mother, Mrs. Jeffers was preceded in death by her former husband, John Jeffers; and by a brother, John Charmely.

Friends will be received from 3 until 6 p.m., the hour of a funeral service, on Thursday, April 21, 2022, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenue, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor / Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director.

Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
