Douglas Norman English
Douglas Norman English, 75, of Washington, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 28, 2022, joining the love of his life, Dolores English, in Heaven.
Born on November 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Ruth and Grafton English.
Loving father of Kathy (Ben) Fisler; stepfather of Tony (Kelley) Sartori, and John Sartori; Pappy of Caleb, Preston, Brysen, Ryland, and Kaisley Fisler, Tony (Traci) Sartori, and Jocelynn (Billy) Collins; and great-grandfather of Hailey, Will, Lucas, and Sophia.
Doug was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Dolores English.
Douglas was an avid fan of NASCAR, his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He worked for almost 40 years at Bob Evans as a sales manager.
Throughout retirement he enjoyed driving a school bus. Doug was a long time member of Avery United Methodist Church. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are welcome 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, in Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at The Washington Cemetery.
