Karen Ann Henke-Chytil Campbell
Karen Ann Henke-Chytil Campbell, 62, of Cecil Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 30, 2022, in Family Hospice Pittsburgh. She was born September 20, 1959, in Mt. Vernon, Knox County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Isadora “Chris” Seery Henke.
Karen was raised in Hendersonville, was a graduate of Canon-McMillan Senior High School, and was a Christian.
She had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at many nursing facilities in the area, retiring from TownView Heath and Rehabilitation Center in Canonsburg.
Karen was a member of the Granish Club (Slovenian National Hall) in Bishop/Cecil, was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed hunting, loved Halloween and especially being with her family and friends.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Kriestel Maisa Grennell of Pittsburgh, Jessie Chytil (Raymond McHenry) of Cecil, and Kain Chytil of Lawrence; her husband, Ronald W. Campbell Sr.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; many half-brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her son, Kenneth Maisa; and her son-in-law, Daniel Grennell.
Friends and family are welcome from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, August 6, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, with a Celebration of Life gathering to follow at the Granish Club in Cecil. Interment will be private.
