Thelma Marie Hibbs Holmes
Thelma Marie Hibbs Holmes, 91, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, in her home, Saturday, July 30, 2022.
Born April 24, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Orion and Sevilla Weaver Hibbs.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Taft Holmes II; loving mother of Ronald Holmes, James Holmes, Kathleen Holmes, Brian Holmes, Rodney Holmes and the late William Taft Holmes III; cherished grandma of Jamie (Larry) Simpson, Stephanie (Alexander) Fedders, Chelsea (Zach) Mariskanish, Tiffany (Travis) Barker, Christina (Chris) Maggi, Sabrina (Zach) Pontella, Angelina Atkinson, Jeremiah Atkinson, Josh Fetters, Mike Ciaffoni, Savannah (Brian) Collins, Alesha (Nick) Chase, Joseph Sawyer, Brianna Holmes, Jacob Holmes and Hunter Holmes; and great-grandmother of 22 great-grandkids; dear sister of Alvin, Stella the late Louise, Alma, Clara, Helen, Ray, Ivan, and Harry; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Thelma loved the outdoors and going to Cooper’s Rock. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Thelma always had an open heart and open door for anyone. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of her life will be held from 12 to 5 p.m. Saturday, August 13, at Washington Park, Kiwanis Pavilion.
