Mark Douglas Boggs
Mark Douglas “Doug” Boggs, 70, of Washington, died Saturday, August 6, 2022 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born July 7, 1952 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Richard and Dorothy Yama Boggs Ealy.
Doug was a 1971 graduate of Trinity High School and attended electrical training school following high school. He was a steelworker for Jessop Steel, retiring in 1998.
He loved listening to music, was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed bowling, playing golf and computer games. He was a collector of tools. He was, above all, a true family man and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a great friend to all who knew him.
He was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, Washington.
On April 27, 1974 he married Carolyn Duncan, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Christopher (Mary) Boggs of Gainesville, Va. and Greg Boggs of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Richard (Graceanna) Boggs of Stoneboro, Bruce Boggs of Phoenix, Ariz. and Kevin (Judy) Boggs of Washington; a sister, Kimberly Dunn of Washington; and several nephews and nieces.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a step-father, Orland Ealy.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2022. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
