Robert C. Rose

Robert C. “Pete” Rose, 69, of Fredericktown, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 6, 2022 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born June 15, 1953 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Robert and Betty Jane Lusk Rose Sr.

Mr. Rose was a 1971 graduate of Beth Center High School.

He was previously employed as an aide at Woodville State Hospital and most recently worked as a self-employed handyman.

Pete loved all sports. He was an avid Steeler and Beth Center Football fan, played softball for the Owls Club, and coached girls softball and basketball.

On July 23, 1988 he married JoEtta Lynch Rose who survives.

Also surviving are three children: Tina Rose Zangla (Mike), Robert Rose III (Kailynn) and Heather Rose (Josh), all of Fredericktown; two grandchildren, Skyler and Mike Zangla; a brother, William Rose (Maryellen) of Charleroi; a sister, Frances White (Dean) of Reedsville, W.Va.; three grand puppies, Scrappy, MoJo and Mocha; two aunts; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, David and Howard Rose.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, in the Greenlee’s Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd., 42 Bank Street, at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, with Pastor Gary Gregg officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
