Pamela L. Kelley-Booker
Pamela L. Kelley-Booker, 67, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in her home.
She was born October 23, 1954, in Washington, a daughter of the late Robert W. Kelley Sr. and the late Clara G. Dillard Kelley.
Pam was a graduate of Trinity High School and worked in many areas, including as a waitress at Sambo’s (now Denny’s), the George Washington Hotel and the Ramada Inn. She also worked as a CNA at the Greenery, then at Avis Arbor Women’s Shelter and most recently, she was a “Call-A-Bet” concierge for the Meadows Racetrack.
In her youth she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she sang for the youth and adult choirs. She attended Legacy International Ministries, Washington. She also sang for Joshua’s Army Choir.
Pam loved entertaining, and was known for dancing and making all those around her laugh. She loved spending time with family and friends and going to the casino.
On September 6, 2020, in Washington, she married Robert Booker, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Danielle R. (Nathan III) Goff of Northfield, Ohio and Dawn R. (Rich Isbell) Kelley of Washington; a son, Derrick R. (Shellie) Kelley of Kapaa, Hawaii; three brothers, John H. (Dawn) Kelley of Gaithersburg, Md., Joseph W. (Elizabeth Welsh) Kelley of Kansas and Charles D. (Sherry) Kelley of Washington; a sister, Robin Booker of Penn Hills; nine grandchildren: Gabrielle Goff, Nathan Goff IV, Jazmin, Darian, Tyra, Devon and Logan Kelley, Shiane Kelley and Rayona Isbell; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert W. Kelley Jr. and Kevin D. Kelley; and two sisters, Carol J. Russell and Karen R. Kelley.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, with Pastor Stephen Thomas Jr. officiating. All other services will be private.
