Rose T. Churray
Rose T. Churray, 81, of Cecil Township, passed Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
She was born October 3, 1940, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Steve and Rose Fartro Churray.
Rose was a humanitarian and always gave of herself to people she loved, and in situations that could influence benefit. She found a way to get something done, never gave up and always cultivated the best in all she did. Rose was finishing her first book, could make wedding cakes better than anyone and harvested an award-winning garden.
She lived in Canonsburg most of her life, rearing her children. After her youngest was off to college, she went back to school and worked as a teacher in Virginia Beach, Va., then returned to Canonsburg to be involved with her grandchildren, whom she cherished.
Rose collected many books, enjoyed reading, walking, gardening and being at the beach.
Surviving are four children: Johnna Mary of West Palm Beach, Fla., Mark Mary of Canonsburg, Steven and his wife Cassie Mary of Fletcher, N.C. and Greg Mary of Canonsburg; two sisters, Mary Ann Scarci and Carolyn Graff both of Canonsburg; two grandchildren, Samantha Nolan and Darien Mary; many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Brian Mary; and a sister, Dolly Setto.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
