Elizabeth M. “Betty” Yarnevich, 87, of Fredericktown, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, in Mon Valley Care Center.
She was born April 23, 1935, in Fredericktown, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Mofflar Kostelnik.
Betty was a 1953 graduate of East Beth High School.
Mrs. Yarnevich was a floral designer, who also owned and operated Crowthers Flower Shop, along with her husband and brother, for 40 years retiring in 2004.
She was a lifelong member of the former St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Fredericktown.
Surviving are four children, Frank Yarnevich of Fredericktown, David Yarnevich (Maureen) of Ellicott City, Md., Matthew Yarnevich of Washington, and Marie Donkers (Chris) of Fredericktown; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her husband, Francis “Mel” Yarnevich; and a brother, Frank Kostelnik.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 22, in Greenlee’s Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd., 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, with the Rev. Edward L.Yuhas officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park.
