Jerry R. Friebis
Jerry R. Friebis, 80, of Washington, formerly of Mount Lebanon, West Virginia, New Jersey and Ohio, peacefully passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Beloved husband of Sandra Gage Friebis for almost 61 wonderful years. Loving father of Kristen (Keith) Overstreet, Michele (Dan) Bowers and Jennifer (Ken) Berry. Cherished grandfather of Chelsea, Maggie, DJ, Gabriele, Zachary and Elijah. Proud great Grandfather of River and Isla.
Treasured son of the late Richard and Lucille Evans Friebis. Dear brother of Rosemary Denos, Judy Hinkley and Ron Bell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was an avid railroad modeler and old and new coin collector.
He worked 43 years in the railroad industry with the Pennsylvania, Penn Central, Conrail and CSX Railroad. Jerry was known to always carry through on everything he did. He was always able to come up with a quick joke to make everyone laugh. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic, caring nature and most of all love of family.
