Kathleen Racioppi-Dasta
Kathleen Racioppi-Dasta, of West Vancover, B.C., Canada, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, the morning of Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Shears; and four children, daughter Leslie Dasta Dreier (Bradley), and sons, S. Christopher Dasta, J. Gregory Dasta (Marcella), K. Jeffery Dasta; 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Samantha, Kayla, Austin, Ashley, Kyle, Taylor, Alicia, Zachary, Lacey; five great-grandchildren, Gregory, Wyatt, Hunter, Jack, Noah; two brothers, Vincent (Cheryl) Racioppi, Phillip Racioppi; and one sister, Terry Gessler Hart (Jim).
Kathleen graduated from Canonsburg High School (1959). She received her degree in psychology
from California State College, California (1977), where she was Homecoming Queen at age 34 (1976).
Kathleen was employed with Trans World Airlines as a reservations agent (1977-1979) and US Airways as a flight attendant (1979-1994).
Kathleen loved to travel, from sailing throughout the Caribbean to riding a camel in Egypt, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, who named her “EIO” and “Grammy K”.
A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, September 18, in Phoenix, Ariz.
