Richard Douglas West
Richard Douglas “Doug” West, 83, of Washington, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, in his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 22, 1939, in Washington, a son of the late Louis and Florence West.
A 1957 graduate of Washington High School, he was Catholic by faith.
Mr. West founded West Tire Company in 1962, and through much hard work, he made it the successful business that continues today.
An avid hunter, Doug was a devoted family man.
On July 2, 1963, he married the love of his life, Marianne Zatazella West, who survives.
Also surviving are children and grandchildren, Rick (Nancee) West and son, Robert; Melissa West; Melinda (David) Emerich and daughter, Vittoria; and Renee West and son, Austin.
At the request of the deceased, all services were private and held at the convenience of the family.
