Sean Christopher Weir
Sean Christopher Weir, born June 8, 1967, in Washington, the son of Willis and the late Karol Williams Weir, passed unexpectedly.
He married Brenda Renee Seaman Weir on August 27, 1994.
Sean and his shot-gun riding Beagle, DiNozzo, recently relocated to Loris, S.C. to be close to his son, Trystan Weir and daughter, Brooke (Doug) Weir Gould, who were the center of his world, and who learned from him to follow their passions, as he became a lieutenant firefighter for Horry County and she a nurse.
Sean combined his strong work ethic and artistic talents to become a master carpenter and a master fly fisherman, even creating the popular and well recognized “Mustard Green” fly. He was a member of Trout Unlimited, and spent time as a guide in Colorado and Elk Springs Resort in West Virginia, and ran Weir Fly Fishing.
Surviving, in addition to his children and his father, are his sisters, Dia (Kevin) McVay and Jennifer (Joe) Johnson; his in-laws, Tom and Linda Seaman; his brother-in-law, Brian (Amy) Seaman; nieces and nephews, Kameryn and Cole “CJ” Johnson, Griffin and Morgan McVay, and Bailee and Trenton Seaman; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Everyone who knew Sean knew he had a big heart, which we know was full when he met his beloved Sunshine at the end of the Rainbow Bridge. We take comfort in knowing he’s smiling down on us, as he’s standing in a stream with his favorite fishing buddy, Uncle Jack Williams.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022.
