Beverly Jean Harter Wolf, 91, died Wednesday, August 17, 2022, in the Donnell House.

Mrs. Wolf was born October 5, 1930, in Washington, a daughter of Sarah Boardley Harter and William C. Harter Sr.

She graduated from Washington High School in 1948, and went to work for the Observer Publishing Company.

In 1950, she married William F. Wolf and soon left employment to raise a family. Mrs. Wolf returned to work in 1971 at Washington and Jefferson College, where she served as secretary to the President until 1991.

She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three children, Kristine Wolf, Douglas (Mary) Wolf, and Gary Wolf; two grandchildren, Daniel, and Kevin; and a brother Thomas (Alice) Harter.

Mrs. Wolf was predeceased by her husband, who died in 1999; and two siblings, William C. Harter Jr. and Verna O’Brien.

Interment was private in the Washington Cemetery.
