Marjorie A. Christman

Marjorie A. Christman, 77, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in Premier Healthcare.

She was born July 24, 1945, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late H. Kenneth and Elizabeth Cook Wible.

Marjorie was a member of West Washington United Methodist Church.

She was a graduate of Hempfield High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Marjorie worked as a teacher at Wolfdale Elementary School.

In her free time, she enjoyed decorating, sewing and crafting.

On December 19, 1969, in Washington, she married the love of her life, John “Jack” Christman, who died in 2008.

Surviving are two daughters, Jackie (Ed) Staley of Charleroi, and Betsy (Than Buda) Christman of Washington; a brother, Dr. Kenneth (Francine) Wible of Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Hannah and William Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, is a son, Benjamin James Christman.

All services are private and entrusted to Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Directors, Inc., Charles R. Piatt, owner/supervisor, Andrew C. Piatt, director.
