Lee (William L.) Schafer
Lee Schafer, 71, of Eighty Four, died Sunday, August 28, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Laura Schafer; loving father of Bill (Amy) Schafer and Gary (Jennifer) Schafer; dear brother of Phil (Sarah) Schafer, Cheryle (Tom) Walton, Tom (Temmy) Schafer, Terri (Barry Ford) Schmidt; cherished pap of Miles (Bill and Amy) Schafer, Cole and Ethan (Gary and Jennifer) Schafer.
To his family he was larger than life itself. Lee was the biggest supporter to his extensive family having many brothers and sisters, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lee will be remembered for his generosity, his ability to fix anything, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to everyone.
He had a prosperous career as a transportation supervisor/school administrator for the Canon-McMillan and Upper Saint Clair school districts. He was currently working as a zoning officer for Nottingham Township.
He had a passion for antique cars and reconstructing them; his mechanic skills were unparalleled.
His family and friends who knew him loved him deeply and grieve his loss.
Funeral arrangements by Beinhauers. Family and friends will be welcome at 2828 Washington Road McMurray, (724-941-3211) for visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 1. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, September 2, in Beinhauer Funeral Home.
