Rose Nickerson Richey
Rose “Rosie” Nickerson Richey, 91, of Dallas Pike, W.Va., passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Stonerise Moundsville, W.Va.
She was born June 29, 1931, a daughter of the late Don and Nettie Gump Nickerson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Regina Voltz, Nelda Kolvek and Mary Lou Kocher.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, R. Wayne Richey; two sons, John (Paula) Junkins Jr. of Dallas, W.Va., and Vince (Becky) Junkins of Pittsburgh; sister, Donna Parsons of Wheeling, W.Va.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Rosie retired from Northwood Health Systems. She enjoyed working puzzles, playing games, vacationing with her sisters and spending time with her family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stonerise Moundsville for the excellent care they provided to Rosie over the last few years.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, in Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, W.Va. (304-242-2311), where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 1, with Pastor Larry Garrison officiating. Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Dallas.
