Mariana Munoz
Mariana Munoz, 63, of Canonsburg, died Monday, August 29, 2022.
She was born February 12, 1959, in Villa Jimenez, Michoacan, Mexico, a daughter of Seferino and Ana Mendoza.
Mariana was a member of St. Oscar Romaro Parish, and attended the Miraculous Medal Church. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.
She worked in the housekeeping department at a few local country clubs. In 1980, Mariana was the first Mexican woman in Canonsburg.
Surviving are her husband, Jose Luis Munoz; her father, Seferino Leon of California; mother, Ana Mendoza of Mexico; son, Jose Luis (Yesenia) Munoz Leon, of Canonsburg; brothers and sisters, Felix (Guadalupe) Leon, Alejandra (Arnoldo) Leon, Dolores (Santiago) Cisneros, Rosaura (Miguel) Leon, Oliva (Juan) Cardona, Angelica (Geraldo) Leon, Seferino (Yadira) Leon, Cruz (Margarita) Leon, Moises (Elsa) Leon, Abel (Marlene) Leon; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 2, in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Departing prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, September 3, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadowlands.
Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
