Rose M. Carvell
Rose M. Carvell, 96, of North Port, Fla., formerly of Houston, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Florida. She was born March 30, 1926, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late David and Mary Stacko Taylor.
Rose lived most of her life in the Midland area of Houston and was a dedicated homemaker. She taught piano and organ lessons from her home on Main Street and was a very devoted Christian, who always had a kind word for everyone.
Rose had been a faithful member of the Central Assembly of God Church in Houston for many years and was well versed in scripture, reading her Bible daily. Her favorite greeting was “Do you know Jesus?”.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her two beloved sons, Frank J. Carvell and Jesse Carvell; her lifelong friend, Dorothy Moore; six grandchildren and one stepgrandchild; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Frank Carvell; her sister, Kathryn D’Amico; and her brother, James Taylor. Rose was the last of her immediate family
Friends and family are welcome from 10 a.m. until noon on Monday, December 5, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at noon on Monday. Private interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
