Mary A. Vraninin
Mary A. Vraninin, a 58-year resident of Langeloth, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in her home with her children at her side, after a 4-month battle with cancer, at the age of 84.
She was born on February 14, 1938, in Houston, daughter of the late Sidney and Azelia Blakeslee Trevena. She was the oldest of six children. She attended Union High School, class of 1956.
She was married for 50 years to the late George Vraninin, who passed on December 26, 2014.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Cowden; and brothers, John and Charles Trevena.
Surviving are two children, Tammy Habovick (Wayne) of Hanover Township, Burgettstown, and George Vraninin (Kathy) of Burgettstown; and grandson, Jared Vraninin. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas Trevena; sister, Patty Muscaro; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary retired in 2009 from Aging Services of Washington County, serving in multiple Senior Centers, the last being Cecil-McDonald Senior Center.
She was an active member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church of Steubenville Ohio, where she resided on the Board, as a member at large, for many years. Also a member of KSS Vidvodan, Weirton, W.Va. and Midway Seniors.

A viewing will be held for family, church family and close friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022, funeral service at 10:45 a.m., officiated by Reverend Stavrophor Rajko Kosic. Interment to follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
Donations may be given in her memory to the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church, 528 N 4th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952, or given to the family in her memory.
