Dennis J. Knowlson
Dennis J. Knowlson, 64, of Washington, died Saturday, December 10, 2022, in his home.
He was born January 24, 1958, in Monongahela, a son of Carol A. Roby Knowlson of Washington.
A graduate of Trinity High School, he retired from Washington Hospital, where he was part of the grounds and maintenance crew.
Dennis loved his dog, Angel, and was a big 49ers fan. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and trips to Gettysburg. He also enjoyed tinkering on his car, as he spent some time as a mechanic.
On August 20, 2009, Dennis married Patricia Diley, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Melissa Fisher (John) of Washington, and Jennifer Poland (Bill) of Venetia; siblings, David Knowlson (Debbie) of Amity, Donna Lee (Dennis’s twin) (John) of Washington, Kenneth Knowlson of Washington, and Keith Knowlson (Grace) of Washington; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Knowlson.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 14.
Interment to follow in Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg.
