Margaret Torboli
Margaret Torboli, 86, of Avella, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in her daughter’s home in Powell, Ohio.
Margaret “Marge” was born on February 22, 1936, in Avella, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Hatela Kolesar, and she attended Avella High School, class of 1954.
She was a lifelong resident of Avella and a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church (St. Isidore the Farmer Parish).
On August 23, 1953, she married Richard Torboli, who passed away on November 1, 2013. The couple also renewed their marriage vows in a ceremony on April 27, 2012, in St. Michael Church.
Marge took great joy in being a lifelong resident of Avella, raising her family, caring for and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed extensive travel with her husband through the U.S. and Canada. She had a quick wit, a great sense of humor and a heart of gold in caring for others. Her hobbies included baking, sewing and photography.
Surviving Mrs. Torboli are two sons, Rick (Kathy) Torboli of Avella and Randy (Sandy) Torboli of Westlake, Ohio; a daughter, Laura (Chris) Faria of Powell, Ohio; six grandchildren, Nathan, Melissa, Kelsey, Haley, Bobby and Kaity; four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Maxim, Giuliana and Gianni. Preceding her parents, are six sisters, Elsie Charnick, Julia Rodgers, Helen Kolesar, Agnes Myers, Susan Kolesar and Emma Butcher; three brothers, John, Frank and Albert Kolesar.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., located at 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, in St. Michael church, located at 97 Highland Avenue, Avella, with Reverend Harry Bielewicz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Avella.
