Caren L. Gilson Shekerko
Caren L. Gilson Shekerko, 75, of Eldersville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, with her loved ones by her side.
Caren was born on December 15, 1946, in Smith Township, Washington County, daughter of the late John B. “Hap” and Rose Bober Gilson. She was a 1964 graduate of Union High School.
On August 12, 1967 she married Robert Shekerko, who survives. She is also survived by her son, Robert J. Shekerko (Marci); daughter, Shannon Sherkerko; grandson, Timothy Sherkerko; sister, Cynthia Gilson Myers (Thomas), of Frederick, Md.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings: John W. “Jack” Gilson, Robert L. Gilson, Ronald J. Gilson and Audrey C. Brown.
Caren’s favorite pastimes were spending time with family, drawing, writing poetry and listening to music. She had a fun and loving personality that will truly be missed by all.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery, 931 Rt. 18 North, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
