Kathy Lynn White
Kathy Lynn White, 64, of Washington, died Thursday, December 15, 2022, in Washington Hospital.
She was born October 23, 1958, in Washington, a daughter of Robert “Bob” (companion, Jean Patterson) Wilson of Washington, and the late Judith Jacoby Wilson.
A 1976 graduate of Trinity High School, Kathy graduated from the Washington Hospital School of Nursing in 1978.
She retired from Washington Hospital in 2018, where she had worked as a labor and delivery nurse. Kathy was very proud of the work she did as a Grief and Loss Counselor and was recognized for her exceptional work when she received an award from the March of Dimes.
Mrs. White was a member of Revival Today Church, where she sang in the choir.
She enjoyed photography and watching Fox News. More than anything, she was a proud Mimi, who adored her beloved grandchildren, and loved every moment she spent with them. Her dogs, Zoe and Bella, brought much joy into her life, too.
On November 18, 1978, she married the love of her life, Robert M. White, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Bethany (Patrick) Franz of Canonsburg; five siblings, Jimmy (Kathy) Wilson of Roanoke, Va., Robbie (Peg) Wilson of Washington, Michael Wilson of Washington, Carol Wilson of Washington, and Sherry (David) Hadelman of Winter Springs, Fla.; two grandchildren, Max and Malindi; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Jeffrey Michael White, and three children lost in infancy; and her in-laws, Donald W. White and Betty Jean Morrison White.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, with the Rev. Kofi Acheampong officiating.
Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
