Kay F. Martin
Kay F. Martin, 89, of Cokeburg, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, in her home, with her family by her side.
She was born February 25, 1933, in Ralphton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Crimone LoNigro.
Kay was a 1951 graduate of Ellsworth High School.
Mrs. Martin was a lifelong member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and was very strong in her faith. She was also a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union #354 and a former member of the Sons of Italy #609, both of Cokeburg.
Kay’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and Sunday family dinners.
On June 25, 1954, she married Peter R. Martin Sr., who died September 28, 2001. They had celebrated 47 years of marriage at the time of his death.
Surviving are four children, Mary Jo Poknis (Steve) of Charleroi, Pete Martin Jr. (Paula) of Eighty Four, Angela Martin of Cokeburg, and Lisa Gigliotti (John) of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Kate Poknis, Melissa Johns (Tyler Hamstra), Christina Martin (Ron Moyer), Stephanie D’Orazio (Nick) and Jessica Harris (Aaron); six great-grandchildren, Carmela and Rocco D’Orazio, Madelyn and Joa Johns, Billy and Bella Moyer; a sister, Betty Ross of Ellsworth; a brother, Sebastian LoNigro of Mt. Pleasant.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, is a sister, Carmela Innocenti.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 19, in Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where prayers will be said at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville Campus at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Yuhas officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery Monongahela.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314, or Concordia Hospice, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
