Elizabeth Agnes Erskine Provance, 82, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Stonerise Wellsburg.

She was born December 10, 1940, in Port Arthur, Texas, daughter of the late James and Lillian Schraub Erskine.

Elizabeth was a nurse practitioner at Wheeling Hospital and a member of Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, James Erskine, Christine Kail and Mary Mather.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Provance; children, Barry Provance, Sharon (Albert) Mestrovic, Aaron (Jenna) Provance, M.D., and Elizabeth (Tom) Smith; grandchildren, Brynn, Colt and Ryler Provance, Katlyn, Chase and Jake Smith, Amanda West and Jesse Mestrovic; great-grandchildren, Gabe and Alivia West; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV 26003, 304-242-2311, where services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 with Reverend Erica Harley officiating. Interment to follow in North Buffalo Cemetery, Taylorstown.
