Mary Rydzak

Mary “Mitzi” Rydzak, 95, of Washington passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Canonsburg.

She was born July 24, 1927, in Washington a daughter of the late John and Louise Solomon.

Mrs. Rydzak was a lifelong member of St. Hilary Church in Washington and was a member of the Christian Mothers of the church.

She enjoyed playing dartball and played for the Pulaski Club team for many years.

On February 27, 1949 in St. Hilary Church in Washington she married Peter “Paul” Rydzak who passed away on February 2, 2007.

Surviving are a daughter, Joanne (Al) Buckel of Houston; and a son Paul J. (Tina) Rydzak also of Houston.

Also surviving are four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Katy Macre and a brother John Solomon.

All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday December 30, in St. Hilary Church at 320 Henderson Avenue in Washington. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray.
