Tearney Ray Greely
Tearney Ray Greely, 17, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly, in her home, Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
She was born May 8, 2004, in Washington, a daughter of the late Christopher Atkins and the late Niki Greely.
She was raised by her uncle, Freedom Greely, and her aunt, Amber Greely, with her cousins Freedom Jr., Killian and Holden Greely, who survive.
Tearney was a senior at Trinity High School, where she enjoyed spending time with her friends.
Tearney was a valued employee at Staples, and was loved by management and employees.
Tearney enjoyed spending time with her huge family, but especially enjoyed her time with Freedom Jr., Killian and Holden.
On December 30, 2021, Tearny became a mother to her angel baby, Khairmir Lee Edwards, and it broke her heart.
Tearney had a smile that would light up the room and make you smile. Tearney was loved by everyone and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Linda Kennedy; and grandfather, Ray Greely.
Surviving are a grandmother, Sandra Edmond of Burgettstown; her aunts and uncles, Leo and Heather McIntyre, Michael and Jamie Glenndenning, David and Melissa McIntyre, Jaron and Olivia Hays; boyfriend, Malekhai Edwards; brother, Thomas Wormsley; and sisters, Logan and Adarra Atkins. Also surviving are many cousins, great aunts and great uncles.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 11, in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12, in the funeral home, where services will be held at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Sue Petritis officiating.
