Nicholas Yurkovich Jr.
Nicholas “Nort” Yurkovich Jr., 71, of Prosperity, died Sunday, February 6, 2022, in Washington Hospital.
He was born July 1, 1950, in Washington, a son of the late Nicholas Yurkovich Sr. and Bertha Tender Yurkovich.
A graduate of McGuffey High School, Mr. Yurkovich worked for ICI Construction.
A man who loved the outdoors, Nort enjoyed working on tractors and attending tractor pulls. He especially loved his time spent with friends and family.
Surviving are four sons, Eli Yurkovich of Prosperity, Shawn (Lori) Hancher of McMurray, Stacy (LouAnn) Hancher of Jacksonville, Fla., and Shad (Marsha) Hancher of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Rudy (Phyllis) Yurkovich of Prosperity, and Marko Yurkovich of South Franklin; three sisters, Darlene (Edward) Sheperd of South Franklin, Cecelia (Butch) Green of South Franklin, and Nicolette (Brett) Shriver of Washington; many grandchildren; and his wife, Nancy Kumer Yurkovich.
Deceased is a sister, Joyce Clemons.
At the request of the deceased, all services were private and held at the convenience of the family.
