Barbara Jean Muntan, 82, of Charleroi, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in her home.

She was born August 19, 1939, in New Eagle, the daughter of Charles and Mary Komar Muntan.

Barbara was Presbyterian by faith. She retired from the Department of the Navy, in Fairfax, Virginia. She will be remembered as being a loving and caring woman.

She is survived by her brother, Robert G. Muntan and wife Sharon of Monongahela; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, William, and James Muntan; three sisters, Charlotte Dickie, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Franks, and April Roberts.

There will be no visitations or services. Inurnment will take place in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Frye Funeral Home, Inc.
